I recently stayed a few days at a friend's place in another city. When I arrived late in the evening she warned me that she didn't have much (or any) food in her apartment. "I have one egg," she said, "and you can have that for breakfast tomorrow and then we'll go grocery shopping."

Get out! One egg! Some days I wish I had just one egg. I hate cluttered fridges. So sorry about your doggie. It has been remarkably warm here...although chilly this morning...hope you have a wonderful trip home this way!
